Youth may be considered for admission if they meet the following general criteria:
Admission decisions are based on the youth’s needs, program fit, safety considerations, and our ability to provide appropriate care and support.
1. Referral Submission
Referral sources submit intake documentation for review by the AB4C admissions team.
2. Case Review
AB4C reviews the referral packet to assess program fit, safety considerations, service needs, and placement appropriateness.
3. Consultation
When needed, AB4C may schedule a consultation with the case manager, agency representative, or referral source to gather additional information.
4. Placement Decision
A placement decision is made based on eligibility, program fit, bed availability, and the youth’s individual needs.
5. Admission & Orientation
Once accepted, the youth and referral team receive admission instructions, required forms, and orientation information to support a smooth transition into care.
AB4C understands that some youth require immediate placement due to crisis, disruption, or urgent safety concerns. When space is available, emergency placements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
